Electric & Acoustic Guitar
When Chuck Berry reached out from the radio in 1962 with Johnny B. Goode, 10 year old John Zahn knew then that owning a guitar was a necessity. In those early years, John developed his style by studying masters such as Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower, Otis Rush, Eric Clapton, and Steve Ray Vaughn among others. Eager to learn everything he could about his beloved guitar John sought a music education from Jazz instrumentalist Tom Guernsey, founder of the Hangmen, and Jack Cassidy of Jefferson Airplane. John continued his education of Music Theory at Montgomery College. This incredible learning experience fed the early seeds of John’s love for teaching guitar. By continuing to educate others seeking to master the guitar as he does, John’s knowledge of music continues to deepen as does his own self-awareness. John is passionate about music and dedicated to his students. He loves to teach people of all ages, from children just being introduced to music, to adults with years of experience looking to expand their knowledge and skills.
